
Mary Lou Nay:
Mary Lou moved to Brown County in 1967 when she started teaching
social studies at the secondary level.
Mary Lou’s degree work includes a B.S. in Social Studies
and Biology, a Master’s in Social Studies, a Specialist
in Ed. Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from
Indiana University. In addition to teaching in the local schools,
Mary Lou coordinated the Adult Education program and the Gifted
Education program in Brown County. She left Brown County to accept
an elementary principalship; this developed into an assistant
superintendency in Eastern Hancock. Following her tenure in Hancock
County, she served as a superintendent in Harrison County.
She has also served as an assistant professor for Indiana University
at Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Columbus. Mary Lou taught undergraduates
in methods and graduate students in leadership.
Creating a life-long learning culture through on-site and distance
learning opportunities is her mission.
Mary Lou and her husband Jim live in southern Brown County.

Sue Dillon:
Sue’s background is in education, workforce development,
and business.
Sue has taught middle school, high school, and adult learners
in a variety of settings, including rural and urban public schools,
a juvenile detention facility, Job Corps, and Ivy Tech State College.
As
a technical education specialist for the Indiana Department of
Workforce Development, she directed the statewide implementation
of Tech Prep – a technology preparation initiative that
emphasizes hands-on learning, business/industry/education partnerships,
and articulation between secondary and postsecondary education.
Sue
has lived in Brown County for the past twenty years. During the
1980s, she operated a small general store in northeastern Brown
County. For the past few years, she has been self-employed as
an education and workforce development consultant.
Vince Small:
Vince joined the CRC in January of 2007.
Vince previously worked at Ivy Tech for eight years in the Registrar's Office and as a Computer Technician for the Columbus region. He had also taught Academic Skills and Computer Enrichment courses at Ivy Tech and served as a substitute teacher for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.
While working at Ivy Tech, Vince continued his education and earned Associate Degrees in Computer Information Systems, Paralegal Studies, and General Studies. He earned an Indiana University Bachelor's Degree in General Studies from IUPUC in 2005.
